Shakespeare Close Read
Close reads are normally pretty easy, but in with Shakespeare's old language and learning briefly about psychoanalysis and applying it to Shakespeare's literature, this particular close read was not the easiest. In this case, we got to grade ourselves and explain why we gave ourselves that grade. I gave myself an 8.5 and even though I gave myself an 8.5, I'm sure I could have done a little better. A little bit like my philosophy, this was an in-depth writing and it was difficult at first to apply the lens of psychoanalysis to Shakespeare, but as I wrote it I realized it was a little easier. I found that different lenses can definitely be good opportunities to seek out different view points on the same topic.
